Just a quick post about the movie: A History of Violence. I watched this movie last week and it's really sticking with me. This is one of the best movies that I've seen in a long time and am recommending it. In fact, imdb.com has given it 10 out of 10 (I hardly ever see that high a rating).
I like Viggo Mortensen's acting and so I checked out the movie. It wasn't really what I expected and you should probably read a few reviews before you see it. The imdb.com site has a pretty realistic review of the movie.
David Cronenberg (a fellow Canadian!) definitely deserves an Oscar for this movie.
Note that this is a pretty violent film and does have some very shocking scenes. I don't like blood and gore, but was able to watch it (twice). It's also very thought-provoking and tells a good story, in my opinion. There are some scenes that I've never seen in a supposedly mainstream movie before.
