Being a cubicle-dweller, I thought that these alternative names for where we spent a good portion of our working lives in were pretty funny:
- 14. Soul-Sucking Pod o' Death
- 13. Tomb of the Unknown Bureaucrat
- 12. Slack-In-The-Box
- 11. Headquarters, Jodie Foster Fan Club
- 10. Peon Palazzo
- 9. Yuppie Terrarium
- 8. The SnackFooda Triangle
- 7. English Majors Entry Point
- 6. Luxury Manhattan Apartment
- 5. Picasso's Folly
- 4. International Porn Downloading Headquarters
- 3. Fortress of Servitude
- 2. Casa de Livin' La Vida Veal
- 1. Wraparound Turbo Demoralizer 2000
Yup, the list pretty much says it all.

Lloyd, thanks for your comment. I did not know that DC coined the phrase "veal-fattening pen", so I learned something new today. :-)
Btw, Peter's blog post wasn't very 'recent' - your link to his post dated Nov 20 2003, it was an interesting read.

Douglas Coupland coined the phrase "veal-fattening pen," in parody
of the cubicle desk. This appeared in his often-quoted novel Generation X.
Another blogger recently dicussed this topic as well.
